Phototherapy 311 nm is the use of artificial ultraviolet (UV) light sources to treat skin conditions.
Ultraviolet light improves metabolic processes in the skin and stimulates the production of vitamin D. It slows down the rapid division of keratinocyte cells in the epidermis, providing a strong anti-inflammatory and local immunomodulatory effect.

UV therapy is included in modern clinical guidelines and treatment protocols for various dermatological diseases.

Today, the most effective and safest option is treatment using narrowband UVB rays with a wavelength of 311 nm — narrowband (or narrow-spectrum) phototherapy.

Indications for phototherapy:
• Psoriasis
• Vitiligo

• Seborrheic dermatitis
• Lichen planus
• Pityriasis rosea (Gibert’s disease)

A full course of phototherapy typically includes 20–30 sessions, performed 3–4 times a week at a time convenient for you.
Each session lasts 1 to 15 minutes on average.

This allows even patients with an active lifestyle to receive full treatment. The procedure is also safe for children starting from age 5.
Noticeable results usually appear after just 5–7 sessions.

Patch testing is a diagnostic method used to identify allergens responsible for allergic contact dermatitis.

Every day we come into contact with numerous chemical compounds at home and at work. Our skin is a universal indicator of how the body reacts to various substances. Visibly, this manifests as redness, rashes, peeling, itching, or blisters. Some of these symptoms may resolve on their own, but others persist, spread to new areas, and significantly affect one’s quality of life.

The cause may be allergic contact dermatitis (ACD), which has no specific cure. To address this issue, allergological testing is necessary to identify allergens so they can be avoided in the future.

How is a patch test done?
Allergy testing is performed using a patch test strip. It contains chambers with small amounts of potential allergens that may be causing the dermatitis. The strip is applied to the upper back for 48 hours.

An initial evaluation is performed 30 minutes after removal. The main evaluation takes place on the 5th day (after testing begins); in some cases, assessment may also be needed on the 7th day.

How to prepare for patch testing:
At least 2 days before and throughout the testing period, do not use glucocorticosteroid medications internally or externally (ointments, creams, etc.);
Ensure the skin on the test area is clean (do not apply any cosmetic products except soap).

After the patch is applied, you must avoid:
direct sunlight on the test area;
physical activity (to avoid sweating);
water exposure.

Today, over 500 allergens are available for patch testing (about 40 of them are most frequently in contact with skin). They are grouped into specialized series for targeted testing.

Many surface-level skin issues are difficult to diagnose with the naked eye. These conditions can be revealed using fluorescence and polarized light imaging technologies through a specialized device.
